A Creative Pottery Party for Ages 4 & 5

Our Story ‘n’ Paint Party is designed especially for younger artists ages 4 and 5. This fun, hands-on pottery birthday party combines story time with a step-by-step painting project at our studio in Briarcliff Manor, Westchester County, NY.

Each child works together with a parent or caregiver to create a special pottery piece. We take a little break from painting to read a story that goes along with the project.

Children use brushes, sponges, Q-tips, and their fingerprints to create their designs. After the party, our artists add finishing touches and personalization, turning those little fingerprints into animals, flowers, butterflies and more!

Starting at $360 for 8 children
Each additional child: $40

Your Story ‘n’ Paint Party Includes:

  • 1.5 hours of creative fun
  • A pottery project selected in advance
  • Choice of a salad plate or cereal bowl, depending on the project
  • All paints, brushes and supplies
  • Step-by-step guidance from our creative party assistant
  • Story time coordinated with the project
  • Finishing and personalization of each child’s pottery
  • FREE personalized birthday plate or ice cream bowl for the birthday child, with colorful fingerprints and guests’ names
  • Party setup and cleanup
  • Help serving the food, cake and drinks you provide

Good to Know for This Party

Because this party is designed for younger children, one adult and one child work together on one pottery project. How much help the adult provides depends on the child.

Due to limited studio space, the maximum number of participating adults is equal to the number of children. Seating is guaranteed for participating painters.

Parents who are not participating are welcome to paint their own pottery in the front of the studio or enjoy the nearby restaurants and shops in Briarcliff Manor.

By booking this event, you are agreeing that you understand and agree to our studio policies and to the details provided on this website at the checkout.

Is this a drop-off party?
Yes. Parents are welcome to drop off their children and return at the end of the party. The birthday child’s parents or guardians are, of course, welcome to stay.

 

Is the party private?
The party area is reserved for your group. The front of our pottery studio remains open to other customers unless you choose to rent the entire studio for an additional fee.

 

When will the pottery be ready?
Finished pottery will be ready for pickup one week after the party, after 3:00 PM.

The party host can pick up and distribute all the finished pieces, or guests can pick up their pottery individually. Please let your guests know which option you prefer.

We cannot be responsible for pottery left at the studio for more than two months.

 

Can I change the number of guests?
Yes. You can add or remove guests before your party. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can prepare the correct number of pottery projects, goodie bags and supplies.

 

What is the minimum number of guests?
The party package includes a minimum of 8 guests. Each additional guest costs extra depending on the party.

 

How much is the deposit?
A $90 deposit is required to reserve your party date and time. The deposit will be applied toward your final party balance.

 

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 14 days before the party are eligible for a refund.

If you cancel less than 14 days but more than 7 days before the party, you may reschedule or receive studio credit for a future event or walk-in visit. Refunds are not available during this period.

The deposit is forfeited for cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the party.

If severe weather makes travel unsafe and we need to cancel your event, we will work with you to reschedule.

 

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. Booking earlier will give you the best selection of available dates and times.

For parties outside our regular studio hours, please contact us for availability.

 

Is gratuity included?
No. Gratuity is not included in the party price. A minimum 15% gratuity is suggested for our party assistants and may be paid in cash.

You’re welcome to bring food, cake, and drinks for your party! Depending on the time of day, bagels are a popular choice for morning parties, while pizza is always a favorite for lunchtime celebrations.

Food is not included in the party price, giving you the freedom to choose what works best for your group. We welcome food that does not require refrigeration or heating.

Our party assistants will help with setup, serving food, cake, and drinks, and cleanup, so you can relax and enjoy the celebration!
